We have shipped two gearboxes for the BC40 Latest type, supplied in the Screw-on Pot configuration, together with 2,000 cutter teeth: 1,000 JM, 500 JR and 500 JL. The consignment left our works by sea freight for the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) on 23 December 2025. The photographs follow the gearboxes through their final production stages. In red oxide primer the unit is still completely readable: the welds on the mounting bracket, the machined cover plates, the hydraulic motor interface on top and the full bolt circle around the output flange. The finished units are shown in topcoat on the crane hook, side inspection covers bolted down and fasteners fitted bright. That large bolt circle is the drive face the cutter wheel mounts to, and a flat flange with clean threads is what keeps a gearbox change on site a bolt-on job. For transport the pot section is film-wrapped and strapped, then blocked clear of the crate floor on timber bearers so no weight rests on the sealing faces, with the frame bracket braced against the crate wall. Each gearbox travels in its own plywood export crate, marked JKINNO01 and JKINNO02 and closed with a tarpaulin for the sea leg. The teeth are packed in labelled cartons, E35JM in one case and E35JL with E35JR in another, and the blue plastic retaining pins are bagged in the same crates so teeth and pins arrive together and can be counted against the packing list. Our BC gearboxes cover the BC30 and BC40 series in eight configurations across BC40 Old, BC40 New, BC40 Latest, BC30 New and BC30 Latest, in Coupler, Drive Unit and Screw-on Pot types. Latest-type units use the Clamp Assembly with the new Pinion Bevel for improved torque transfer and easier maintenance, and the Screw-on Pot is available separately for retrofit.
