We have completed an FCL shipment of 6-inch D6 mud hose to Dubai, UAE. The consignment covers three cut lengths for the same trench cutter slurry circuit: five hoses at 16.5 m, two at 6 m and five at 2.4 m, all built to the customer's specified lengths and prepared together for a single full container load. The photos show the finished hoses coiled and stacked on heavy timber pallets in our yard before loading. Each coil carries its own printed tag under clear film — JKINNO01 through JKINNO05, Mud Hose, 16.5M — so the receiving crew can identify every length on arrival without uncoiling anything, and the 6 m pieces are tagged the same way at the ends of the stack. Close-up shots of the hose ends show the black clamp-type coupling seated on the hose body, with the bore left open and clean. The orange outer cover is wrapped in protective film and the coils are separated by timber battens, then held down with polyester strapping and ratchet straps so the coils cannot shift or flatten in transit. Keeping the coils generously open matters in practice: this hose has a minimum bending radius of 1100 mm, and packing it tighter than that would damage the reinforcement before it ever reached site. On specification, the D6 mud hose has a 6" (152 mm) inner diameter, 15 bar working pressure and 45 bar burst pressure at a 3:1 safety factor, and weighs 26 kg/m. Length is customised to requirement, which is why this order runs 16.5 m, 6 m and 2.4 m together. Outer diameter is 220–225 mm on the body and about 234 mm at the couplings, couplings are clamp type, and the temperature range is −35 °C to +70 °C. Construction is multi-layer — EPDM/NR outer cover, NR/SBR inner rubber and 45# binding wire reinforcement — with an electrically conductive build and vacuum resistance to max. 85%, for water-based abrasive slurry carrying sand and rock. For rigs running a Hose Drum System we supply the D8 type instead: same 6" (152 mm) bore, 30 bar working pressure, 100 bar burst, 15 m length, 30 kg/m at roughly 480 kg per piece.
